Who do I make music with?
I make music with my sister-in-law, the incredible world-class pianist, Jill Lawson. You can find out more about her here: https://jilllawson.com
In 2007, thanks in part to the exceptional accompaniment of pianist Jill Lawson, I won first prize at the José Augusto Alegria competition in Évora (Portugal). Since then, we've formed a Lied duo and perform regularly. Jill is a huge inspiration, and it's an immense pleasure to make music with her. Among our highlights, I joyfully recall our live performance for the classical radio station Antena 2 in Lisbon, and our concert in Hong Kong for HRDAntwerp.
Our programs combine vocal and poetic artistry with instrumental solo virtuosity and intimacy.
"Clair de lune" is a program featuring French and Belgian composers such as Hahn, Fauré, Debussy, Lekeu, and Jongen.
"Mozart and Mozart only" is a program of songs, (concert) arias, letters, and instrumental music by Mozart.
"L'art pour l'art" is a program with members of Les Six (including Poulenc), imbued with surrealism and cabaret, jazz, and variety music by composers such as Satie, Gershwin, and Kurt Weill, complemented by poems by Jean Cocteau.
And then there's our program "Nos coups de cœur" with our favorite pieces.
