Singing lessons and coaching

After graduating from the Antwerp Conservatory, I earned a Master in Music/Performance at Brooklyn College in New York, where I studied with Trish McCaffrey. Subsequently, I was affiliated with Operastudio Vlaanderen and later obtained my pedagogical diploma in Antwerp.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, I continuously develop myself through taking lessons and coachings myself.

Areas of Expertise

·       Holistic Body and Voice Techniques: Extensive study and experience in Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, sound-oriented singing, yoga, yogalates, Gyrotonic, and Pilates.

·       Vocal Coaching: Sharing knowledge gained from years of in-depth study and various international opera and singing courses with the next generation of singers.

·       French Diction: Specialized coaching for singers on their French repertoire, including masterclasses at Tennessee Tech University and regular instruction at the Antwerp Conservatory.

·       Teaching: Teaching and coaching students of all ages and levels, from children to aspiring professionals, both amateur and professional.

Professional Experience

Past Roles

·       Choir Coach: Coached several choirs in association with "Koor en Stem."

·       Music Academy Instructor: Taught at various Music Academies, working with a wide range of students.

·       Assistant to Stephanie Friede: Assisted her voice class for many years at the Antwerp Conservatory.

Current Roles

·       Vocal Coach: Gives singing lessons to instrumentalists, composers, and choir conductors.

·       La Monnaie Association: Associated with La Monnaie's children's and youth choirs since 2019, regularly coaching young soloists for opera productions.
